New qualification for permanent residency in Japan
“Qualification for Permission for Permanent Residence in Japan” was revised and has been implemented since May 31, 2019, by the Ministry of Justice.
So, I will explain the changes in qualifications for permanent residence.
For spouse of Japanese or spouse of Permanent resident holder
For Longterm resident holder
For Working visa holder
Income and residential tax preparation will be longer
You need to submit longer years of your income certificate (Kazei shoumeisho ) and residential tax certificate (Nozei shoumeisho) issued by City hall.

For company owner
If you owns a company, you also need to submit Shakai Hoken in your company.
